Will I be a Dental Assistant when I graduate from GGSDA's Dental Assisting Progam?
As soon as you graduate from our program, you can start applying for dental assisting jobs!
In the state of California, Dental Assistants can work without a state license, so this means you can start working ASAP. Some of our students get hired a few days before graduation and some, right after.
There is a HIGH DEMAND for Dental Assistants which is why most of our students are getting hired after graduation even without an x-ray license. We recommend taking a Radiation Safety Certification course in order to be able to take dental x-rays. We provide our students recommendations on programs they can attend for this certification.
On the first day of class, we will go over all the requirements you would need if you wish to become a California State licensed RDA (Registered Dental Assistant). We find that of our GGSDA graduates get hired and work on getting their RDA while working and earning income.
How do I become an RDA (Registered Dental Assistant)
There are different pathways to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
Most of our GGSDA graduates work as a Dental Assistant and while earning income from their job, they are able to tackle the RDA Requirements simultaneously.
There are MANY dental offices looking to hire the right fit dental assistant for their team. We also want our students to find the office that best suits them.
Since Dentists and office managers reach out to us consistently, we have a private virtual/online bulletin board so our students can find the right fit office for them. We love connecting people especially when the Dentists are reaching out to us anyway!
Most dentists reach out to us directly. We get calls, emails, and Instagram messages from dentists through our Instagram account @dentalbootcamp!
"We're looking for Dental Assistants, do you know of any?" is a common question. Dental Assistants are in high demand all over the Bay Area.
